# Starting Docker containers

Start bash and inspect the state of a running container.

## Start a shell in a running Docker container.

```bash
$ docker exec -it <container-id> /bin/bash
```

## Start the container and run the shell

```bash
$  docker run --rm -ti <image>:<tag>
```
